Louis XVI Style Giltwood Armchair c.1890
Elegant late 19th.c. Louis XVI style giltwood armchair c.1890. Padded backrest with shallow wings flowing into swept arms over a webbed seat with a loose feather cushion. Vintage upholstery in a pale blue moire or water pattern silk. Superb giltwood frame carved with flowers at the top and a guilloche pattern on the upper edge. Lovely acanthus terminals to the arms with turned columns and raised on turned legs front and rear. Obvious wear to the gilding, rubbed through in places. Serviceable upholstery with a few little marks.
