Unusual and ingenious little metamorphic mahogany side table c.1860. Single piece solid mahogany top with inlaid detail. Height adjustable from 27½" – 38″, the top can also be angled on a lockable brass mechanism to make a sloping lectern or music stand with a small removable ledge to hold papers in place. With a small mahogany lined drawer below. On a turned column and slim shaped legs with matching inlaid detail and ball feet. Excellent condition.
Dimensions: width 20″, depth 18″, height 27½" – 38″.
