Mid Century Vintage Teak Gordon Russell Desk
Handsome teak Gordon Russell single pedestal desk. This one is a super piece of Mid Century antique furniture in well-toned teak and it goes without saying, fab build and design quality. A desk of sensible proportions.
Gordon Russell was one of Britain’s great furniture designers and the Gordon Russell Design Museum is worthy of a lengthy visit if you wish to know more about the company and how it shaped furniture post war in Great Britain.
Back to the desk... It’s a weighty piece with a run of 3 drawers, no key sadly, to the right. The top of solid teak is nicely planed to the edges giving it some real mid-century style, as do those angled legs. As you would expect the desk looks good from all angles so could be placed in a room not just against a wall.
Workshop report – The desk survives in good order with sensible day to day wear – the drawers are running as they should and the original period solid brass handles are all in situ. We have waxed the runners. The teak frame is of a good tone with a pleasing grain and has been lightly bees waxed polished. The top does have light markings but nothing nasty. Clean and ready to place.

Items are delivered by private courier, usually this is a one man service. If you require a two person delivery, please let us know. Smaller items are wrapped and packed (into recycled boxes where possible) and sent via a national courier service, tracking details will be provided once an item has been collected from us.

If you are not happy with an item you have 14 days to return it. This is providing that the item is returned, in the condition it left us, within 14 days. Please note that items must be wrapped and insured, with the return cost being covered by you. Once the item is back with us, having had a once over in the workshop, your refund will be issued.
On the rare occasion that an item is damaged in transit, please notify us immediately or within 48 hours and provide us with details and images so we can best remedy the situation.
