Circa 1870, mid Victorian bamboo and pine open bookcase. The top of the bookcase has lattice type decoration. The gables of the bookcase are covered in anaglypta wallpaper which is framed in bamboo on both sides. Inside the bookcase there are shelves which are faced in bamboo. At the top are 2 adjustable shelves and below are 4 further fixed shelves. In the centre are 2 quarter brackets made from bent bamboo. The inside of the bookcase has been painted and as an anaglypta paper on it also. The whole piece has been scumbled and has an elegant look.
