An oil by the renowned and Listed English artist Philip Le Bas. The painting shows a crowd watching the Henley Regatta and show a strong impressionist influence.
Le Bas painted this oil in 1954 shortly after being elected to The Royal Society of British Artists.
Philip Le bas was a cousin of the famous English impressionist artist Edward Le Bas and for many years he was represented in London by the Portal Gallery.
The Painting is glazed and is not in its original frame.
Provenance: Purchased by the vendor in 1978.
