Pair of 1950's Motorcycle / Racing Helmets.
The pair of helmets are in the pudding basin style, with leather & canvas interior & painted fabric covered cork exterior.
As one would expect with original items there are signs of use, scrapes on the exterior.
Regarding the interiors the larger helmet shows signs of the wearer using Brylcream & the smaller is very clean, no doubt a ladies helmet.Some perishing to parts of the leather. Both helmets have the same makers label inside, the ladies is very clear as can be seen in the photo. Company is Crommwell protective headwear made by S Lewis, London.
The Gents helmet has an advertising logo for Cleveland Discol Alcohol Fuels at the front.
Ladies helmet size is 7 1/8, gents is larger cannot read the size.
These do not comply with modern rules & regulations so are being sold as collectors items.
