Very large impressive pair of 19th century antique rouge marble urns dating from around the 1860’s period, give or take 20 years. They are in good condition with some slight damage which we have tried to show in the images, so please enlarge all the images to see for yourselves. Overall you don’t really notice the damage, because they are so impressive. The rouge marble has some wonderful colours & lovely patterns. There are gilt bronze mounts at the tops & base, with are floral in design & beautifully detailed. The gilt bronze handles are wonderful & in the form of snakes. Please check the height, because they are probably higher than you imagine. I can just about lift one of these up on my own.
