A pair of handsome and well made wooden trunks covered with a tan coloured leather and with brass fittings, these are lined with a maroon fabric and have internal blue webbing straps to hold the lids open. They have brass carrying handles either either side, making them easy to move around, and have contrasting darker leather strip decoration at the edges, one of which has a piece of an old label adhering which is marked “Southern Railways, 1/- paid, delivered luggage”. These are relatively contemporary pieces which have been made with older fittings, providing the appearance of age without affecting function. They will make useful, sturdy storage boxes for any area of the home and it is great to have a matching pair. If required, we also have two more pairs in stock with slightly different leather colouring, one pair very similar, but with a slightly darker strip decoration, and the other a darker colour overall.

These are contemporary pieces with older fittings, made of wood, leather and brass, and originate from the UK.

In good used condition, there are no keys available. One of the trunks has some light scuffing to the top leather strip, but this is not obtrusive and is an attractive aspect of the aged look.
