Pair of Silver Plate Cocktail Accessory Holders
Here we have a fun pair of Vintage Silver Plated Cocktail Accessory Holders in the form of Umbrellas. The holders have spreading bases from which the canopies of the umbrellas spread upwards and outwards. The handles are twisted with a hook end and there is a divider to split the canopy into sections.
The holders are ideal for cocktail sticks, stirrers, miniature umbrellas, napkins and anything else a well stocked cocktail bar should have at its disposal.
Both the holders are made by the renowned firm of Yeoman Plate with one dating to the 1930s and one to the late 1940s / early 1950s. The dividers are slightly different designs. Founded in Sawbridgeworth, Herts in 1897, Yeoman Plate quickly established a reputation for high quality silver plate and became the preferred silver plate supplier for the likes of Harrods, Fortnum & Mason, Asprey, Liberty and others as well as producing pieces under their own name.
Condition is good with no dings or dents, no significant plate loss and just the superficial surface wear that has to be expected after the passage of time. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The holders stand 17.5cm / 6.9ins high (the earlier one) and 18.5cm / 7.3ins high (the later one) and both are 9.3cm / 3.7ins across the top rim. The pair together weigh in at 247g / 8.7oz.
Both umbrellas are marked to the underside of the base, with the larger mark on the earlier one. They show that they are made by Yeoman Plate in England and are silver plate on brass.
Shipping in the UK is £6.50 by Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For Parcel Post.
Overseas customers, please ask us about shipping costs to your country before makin a purchase.
