Poachers Harpoon Tip Walking Stick,c1820
Rare early 19th century walking stick with harpoon tip,c1820. A real folk art piece this was no doubt fashioned by a sailor returning from a Whaling trip and would be an ideal tool for poaching Salmon/Trout etc. The wood shaft is clearly hand carved and the harpoon tip has been applied to form the final third of the stick. The wood and metal have taken on great colour/patina and overall condition is good with no obvious issues. Please refer to the detailed photographs and feel free to contact me if you would like to view the item or have any questions.
