A super rare unused Stratton powder compact. This stunning collectible is a model known as the Stratton Scone without Inner Lid. The delightful lid depicts a beautiful English wild flower still life. The technique used resembles a textured oil painting. There isn't any loss of design or fading. The original sifter, pouch and puff are present. The puff is also rare. It has scalloped edges and the leatherette top is decorated with an ancient English warship and the Stratton signature. The mirror gives a good clear reflection. The mirror bezel is signed STRATTON MADE IN ENGLAND. The powder well is typical for this model - gilded. The base is decorated with a fine spiral. All in super unused condition. The catch and hinge are in perfect working order. Measures 7.5 cm diameter and weighs 63.5 grams.
