The superlatives just roll on and on looking at this four door Rosewood Bookcase. It is just superb quality with operating locks, original cabinet antique furniture and brass beads and inlays.
The bookcase is a breakfront with fitted drawers behind the middle doors of the base. It has capped pillars on the bookcase doors and exquisite bevelled glass in the doors. It is in pretty much original condition, we have only cleaned the surface and undertaken a minor amount of re French polishing to remove some scuffs. It is otherwise in superb condition. (we are told that this was made by a now closed top New York cabinet maker who ceased trading in 1929. we are not able the confirm or deny this information)
