A superb Arts and Crafts period hall robe by Shapland and Petter of Barnstaple. Of generous proportions and very well constructed in solid English oak and embellished with profuse inlaid detailing throughout. With canted corners and and an over-sailing cornice. The single door opens to reveal an interior with a single shelf and hanging hooks. Offered for sale in excellent original condition, with a warm colour and patina. Cornice dettaches for ease of installation. For reference see Daryl Bennetts book on SHapland and Petter, page 112.
