This beautiful silver gilt vinaigrette in pocket watch form with foliate scroll border and suspension ring was made by the renowned Birmingham silversmith, Samuel Pemberton. The front opens to reveal a pierced pull-out grille. The hinged reverse reveals a vacant glass covered locket compartment. All hinges are good and each piece fits snugly. Clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1816 and the makers stamp are visible on both covers and the base. It is 3cm in diameter.
