Silver pair cases - Samuel Pool, 1753 antique pocket watch verge %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
MOVEMENT Gilt verge movement, with finely engraved and pierced balance cock and plate. Signed and numbered (729). All in good condition although there is one dial foot missing (the dial is held firmly). Running well.

DIAL Silver champleve dial in good condition. Signed “POOL, OLNEY”. Nice original 18th century beetle and poker hands.

INNER CASE Silver, worn hallmarks for London, 1753, maker's mark IL. In good condition, though the stem has been reattached. The hinge is fine and the bezel closes well. The high dome bull's eye crystal is in good condition.

OUTER CASE Silver pair case. Very worn hallmarks but a perfect fit for the inner, so no reason to think it may not be original. The hinge and catch are fine and the case closes correctly. There is wear to the catch button but in overall very good condition.
