Silver Plated Bachelor Teapot, c.1920s/30s
A wonderfully stylish small silver plated bachelor teapot from the 1920s/30s.
Bachelor teapots, which made enough tea for just one or two cups, were very popular in the first half of the 20th century. Most of them are simply smaller versions of regular family teapots but this one really feels as though it has been specifically designed for the style conscious single man or woman of the inter war years.
Condition is very good with no plate loss except the very top of the finial where many fingers have obviously raised and lowered the lid. Condition inside is exceptionally good with no tea staining. There is just one place on the side of the teapot where there is the very slightest amount of flattening to the metal but you really have to look hard to notice it. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The body of the teapot is 9.5cm in diameter, it is 14cm from spout to handle and stands 9cm high to the top of the finial.
It weighs 220g.
Shipping in the UK is £5.50 by Hermes Tracked & Signed.
Overseas customers please enquire about shipping costs before making a purchase.
