Small Georgian Silver Ribbed Beer Mug
A sweet and small late Georgian silver mug in the shape of a traditional beer mug with tapering sides and ribbed banding with shaped handle. Gilt washed inside. Hallmarked for London 1827, maker William Knight II.
It measures 7cm (2 3/4") high, 5.7cm (2 1/4") across the rim and 8.5cm (3 3/8") rim to handle. It weighs 97g / 3.1ozt. It has a capacity to the brim of 6 fluid oz (just over 1/4 pint) / 175 ml.
In very good condition with no damage or repair and minor handling wear. The maker's mark is partially obscured but the other marks are fully clear. No engraving. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
