A wonderfully sweet little inkwell, a most unusual and novel size measuring just 2 1/4" in diameter x 1 1/4" tall. The Capstan style inkwell is made from English sterling silver hallmarked for Birmingham 1929 together with the makers initials for the silversmith, Marson and Jones.

The top is decorated with a beautiful Lilac coloured guilloche enamel with a good bright patina showcasing the engine turning below. Once the lid is opened, the tiny removable glass ink chamber is revealed.

Excellent condition.
