A beautiful vintage Stratton 'Queen Convertible' powder compact with a Wedgwood cameo depicting The Three Graces. I believe the inspiration for the Wedgwood cameo came from Boticelli’s ‘Primavera’ (Spring).
Boticelli’s ‘Primavera’ was painted in Florence c.1482 to commemorate a Medici family wedding.
The whole compact is in very good condition. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The compact comes with a foam puff - ready to use. The mirror gives an excellent reflection as you will see on image three. The edge of the mirror is decorated with a frosted glass border. The base is decorated with stars & signed 'Stratton MADE IN ENGLAND'.
This vintage compact mirror measures 3 1/4" & weighs 116.8 grams.
