A rare and quite fabulous late 19th century hip flask from Austria by the very famous GEORG ADAM SCHEID, active in Vienna from 1862, a Silversmith and jeweller famous for high-quality enamelling.

This magnificent tall cut crystal flask is cut with the ever-popular hobnail design with a star cut base.

The removable cup is sterling silver (900-1000) with an engine turned decoration to the exterior. The top is a real gem, what Georg Scheid is very famous for, top quality guilloche enamelling the colour is a vibrant red colour, with a glossy patina showcasing the engine turned decoration below, beautiful and undamaged.

Superb condition, measuring 6 3/4" tall.
