Superb Rare BURMANTOFTS Lustre Dragon Vase
These BURMANTOFTS Lustre Dragon Vases are scarce and infrequently come on the market. We are privileged to be able to offer 2 for sale.
Both are Burmantofts pattern design 616, one with a pink internal glaze...the other with a yellow internal glaze. This listing is for ONE (1) vase with pink internal glaze. Please see our separate listing for the yellow version.
This stunning vase features a large 'grotesque' dragon around the body of the vase. The body of the vase is finished in a beautiful lustre glaze, there is additional gorgeous silver lustre to the dragons' back.
The base has a very clear set of incised marks as per photo ('Burmantofts Faience', the potters initials and the design no.)
The vase is in absolutely superb condition.
Dimensions ~ 185-187mm tall & ~95mm wide at widest part.
Burmantofts Faience Art Pottery was produced for a relatively short period in Leeds between 1882 and 1904. This is a rare opportunity to acquire one (or both) of these stunning collectors pieces.
Satisfaction Guarantee & Returns Policy.
Returns are accepted within 7 days. A full refund will be given provided the item is received in the same condition as when sold. Buyer is responsible for return postage/shipping costs, appropriate packaging and insurance.
