Unusual Brass Shoe Snuff Box c1880
This unusual and craftsman-made Brass and Copper Snuff Box, in the form of a Lady's Heeled Shoe, dates from circa 1880.
As well as the usual hinged lid to the top of the Shoe, there is an ingenious 'secret' compartment in the heel which is opened by carefully raised the copper and brass hinged heel cap.
The Shoe is in original condition and both hinges work well. There is a small piece of brass missing from the top of the shoe's tongue.
