Here we have a very unusual early 20th century alabaster lamp in the form of possums in a tree, possibly Australian in origin.

The lamp part sits on a matching and original classical shape column which is obviously also alabaster. The lamp itself is shaped as a large acorn at the top with possums climbing a tree beneath. The possums all have glass eyes.

The lamp will obviously need a new bayonet and wiring as all there is left is the brass threaded rod. The lamp part lifts off the column, the top of the acorn lifts off the base.

Having had the sun shining on this lamp where it is sitting in the shop it radiates a wonderful glow which will obviously be re-produced when there is a bulb inside.

The overall height is 64"
