This very decorative Carved Horse’s Head slides on to a wooden Table Clamp, presumably to allow the craftsman to carry out his work. It dates from circa 1890.
The Horse appears to have its original paint finish and is fitted with glass eyes.
There has been an old repair started at the bottom of the mane.
