Lovely large oval Davenport centrepiece bowl beautifully painted in an imari pattern with a bold frieze running around the upper half and inside the rim in colours of mazarine blue, bright green, iron red and salmon pink with gilded embellishment. A large floral spray is painted to the lower half of each side. Lovely shaped, gilded handles painted inside with the salmon enamel. Impressed diamond registration mark for 1879 and the Davenport red printed mark to the base.

It measures 25cm 13 3/4" long, 20cm (7 7/8") wide and 13cm (5 1/8") high. Condition is very good with no damage or restoration and light surface wear. There is a firing line running part way along the outside of one side just above the join with the foot.
