An attractive brass bound walnut ladies writing box. Mainly used at home for letter writing and storage of documents but was also designed for travelling with. This box is in very good condition with only a cracked leather along the hinge line and a top edge crack to one of the inkwells(out of sight when the lid is on). The brass plates to the front and top are clear of any engraving which is unusual and more preferable especially if you wished to personalize it as many would have done. Cleaned and wax polished in our workshop giving it a fantastic finish.
