Circa 1880, mid Victorian mahogany Dickens desk. The upper section with a spindle gallery and shelves flanked by banks of 3 small drawers with galleries. The main sloped writing surface with gilt tooled green leather inset opening to a mahogany-lined fitted interior, all above 2 short and one long dummy frieze drawers. Supported on pedestals with 3 graduated drawers with mahogany liners and finely turned knobs, over plinth bases with hidden castors.
