Vintage 1925 Small Silver Capstan Inkwell
This is a lovely Sterling Silver Inkwell from the 1920s. It’s a small size inkwell, perfect for keeping on a desk to use for calligraphy.
It was made by James Deakin & Sons and it’s Hallmarked for Birmingham 1925.
It’s a round capstan inkwell. The Hallmarks are on the side and the lid. The hinge has 5655/10 on it and the lid has Eliot 1164 engraved.. the interior has a clear plastic liner to keep ink in. The base is plastic.
It’s a smaller sized inkwell, weighing 77.9g.

Condition The Silver is shiny with tarnish which adds to the vintage look. There are quite a few dints with two slightly larger ones on the lid. The lid doesn’t close completely flush with the base.
