Vintage 1940s Sterling Silver Tea Strainer
This is a beautiful Sterling Silver Tea Strainer from the 1940s. It’d be a very special strainer use to serve tea with friends.
It was made by William Suckling Ltd and it was Hallmarked in Birmingham in 1949.
The handle has a pretty pattern with the Hallmarks and maker’s mark on the neck. The bowl has small pierced holes which will let the tea seep through and catch the leaves.
On the back of the bowl it has Pat No 233144.
The Silver is shiny with a bit of tarnish. It has a small dint in the bowl.
It weighs 34.5g.
It measures 14.5cm in length (5 3/4 inches).
