Vintage 9ct Gold Cuff Links, Birmingham, 1954
This is a very stylish pair of Mid-Century 9ct Gold chain linked Cuff Links. They are made in Birmingham by jewellers S & D and date to 1954. They are in a box of the same period from antique jewellery retailers Herbert Wolf Ltd, which is probably the original box they came in.
The cuff links are oval in shape and have Art Deco style engine turned decoration with two parallel straight bars along the length of each link. The two ovals are connected by a short chain. They would look as elegant today as they did back in 1954.
Condition is very good with no dings or dents. They have been very well looked after for over 60 years and perhaps only worn on special occasions. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The cuff links are each 1.8cm long, 1.1cm wide and the pair together weigh in at 2.6g of solid 9ct gold.
The hallmarks are nice and clear to read. They show the number 9 and .375 for 9ct gold, the anchor assay mark for Birmingham, the date letter "E" for 1954 and the S & D makers' mark.
Shipping in the UK is £10 by Royal Mail Special Delivery, which includes cover for the value of the cuff links.
Overseas customers please ask us about shipping costs to your country before making a purchase.
