Unused boxed vintage novelty Stratton GUILLOCHE 'Fob Convertible' powder compact

Such a lovely 'find'! An unused (396/ET) 1960s novelty Stratton "WAVES" 'Fob Convertible' unused in the original box with all the original accessories. Just like the compact is fresh from the factory. A high quality octagonal Stratton accessory with only two known years of availability & so this is very hard to find in this condition. The lid has the classic Art Deco design of the sun (a circular cartouche) & the rays emanating from it in gorgeous guilloche engraving which the makers of Stratton described as 'WAVES'. The images really do not do the compact justice - on image one the white background is being reflected on the compact at the bottom. The compact is designed to look like a fob watch. The 'winder' is a fully functional opening & locking mechanism. The compact opens to reveal a perfect mirror & the original pink velour edged sifter & beautiful pink silk Stratton puff with the 'Compact-in-Hand' logo in gilt lettering advertising the Stratton patented self-opening mechanism. These are both pristine as is the black felt pouch. The Stratton box is in good condition too.

This hard to find Stratton novelty compact measures 3 1/4" & weighs 98.3 grams.
