This is a quality vintage dresser base. An English, oak chest of drawers with Georgian revival taste, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1950.
Beautifully figured oak and superior mid-century craftsmanship
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
Select oak shows fine grain interest and flourishes of medullary rays
Rich caramel hues beam beneath a wax polish finish
Wide dresser top graced with striking bands of medullary rays
Arranged as a suite of four over three drawers, framed by a pair of arched cabinet doors
Each drawer dressed with brass drop handles over shaped backplates
Doors open smoothly upon brass butterfly hinges, with small circular pulls
Carved reeding within canted recesses decorate the dresser corners
Presenting field panels to each end with an attractive oak plank finish to rear
Shallow apron over a quartet of ogee bracket feet to each corner
This is an attractive vintage dresser base, with quality craftsmanship and appealing Georgian overtones. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
