Vintage George VI Commemorative Flag George VI commemorative flag George VI flag
The printed commemorative flag in soft thin cotton showing George and Elizabeth depicted center within a circular framed belt strap border amongst insignia and Royal Arms with order of the garter motto ‘Honi soit qui mal y pense… dieu et mon droit’.

The textile is in aged, as found, condition with a beautiful genuine fade across the fabric but remaining vibrant in parts. There are some small holes here and there but the overall condition is pleasing, with the edges frayed.

George VI (Albert Frederick Arthur George 14 December 1895 – 6 February 1952) was King of the United Kingdom and the Dominions of the British Commonwealth from 11 December 1936 until his death. He was the last Emperor of India, and the first Head of the Commonwealth.

This is a scarce textile with important historical importance, which could be used to brighten up, and add history to, any number of spaces, but most importantly be kept and cherished for years to come.
