This vintage compact is suitable for use with modern loose face powder or as a handbag mirror.

A beautiful gold tone vintage Kigu powder compact in excellent condition with the original
sifter. The lid is exactly what you would expect from Kigu - a complex guilloche design with a blank central cartouche - embossed scrolls at the edges. All clasps & hinges work perfectly.
The lid lifts to reveal an excellent mirror surrounded by a golden bezel. The mirror bezel is marked " PATENTED MADE IN ENGLAND ". The inner lid is decorated with elaborate guilloche engraving & at the center is an oval cartouche signed " KIGU " within the triangular Kigu trade mark.
The Kigu registered sliding catch holds the lid firmly in place. This was designed to prevent damage to ladies' nails. The original sifter is in place. It is excellent condition. The base is decorated with a raised gold tone lattice effect.

This vintage powder compact measures 6 cm & weighs 61.5 grams.
