We are pleased to offer this Burr Walnut Victorian Extending Book Slide, with Brass Mounts and Ceramic plaques in the style of Sevres. The engraved brass mounts contain the oval ceramic plaques and have a fine floral and foliate design, with a shell at the top. The plaques both feature chubby cherubs and are, we believe, transfer printed, with overpainting by hand. The two end sections are in burr walnut with an ebony edging and the base sliding sections are in straight grain walnut. This is a well made, quality item and even the hinges have an engraved pattern.

Height: 5 1/2" - 14cm

Materiasl: Walnut, Brass & Ceramic

Condition: Very good. The Walnut is in very good condition, the mounts are undamaged and the brass mounts are also in very good condition, with one tiny scroll missing on one end, just below the centre of the plaque, as shown. Other than this, the item is in virtually original condition.
