A suberb early walnut 8 day longcase clock by Asselyn, London. The good quality 5 pillar movement with countwheel strike (on the hours on a bell). The 12”matted-centre dial with ringed winding holes and crown of cherub spandrels. The beautifully proportioned case has a lovely colour and patina. Cross-grain mouldings, ¼ matched choice veneer to the door, blind fret to the hood and cross banded base with double plinth
