Splendid renaissance revival writing table in walnut c.1900. 39" x 24" top with a deep moulded edge. Moulded apron to all four sides with an oak lined drawer at either end with Classical dolphin form brass handles. Raised on curving X frame ends joined with a fine turned stretcher. Chamfered edges, acanthus carvings to the knees and large claw carved feet front and rear. A small chip from the turning on the stretcher, some marks and fading to the top, otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
