A good looking tea canister with the famous willow pattern on a cream ware body. There are no manufacturers marks but I assume that it was made at one of the many Staffordshire potteries.

In good condition with no chips of cracks, the "crack" on the base which I have shown in the photographs, was caused during the firing process and is glaze filled and stable. Across the piece the glaze is crazed, typical of a used piece of the age.

It stands 5.5 inches or 14cms to the top of the lid. The body is 4.25 by 3.25 inches maximum (11.5 by 9 centimeters).

I date this to the latter part of Queen Victoria's reign, by the scraping of the glaze on the base, caused by use.
