WW1 HMS Birmingham Large Teak Lidded Barrel
HMS Birmingham.
Excellent large size maritime teak lidded barrel from HMS Birmingham. A "Town Class" light cruiser launched in 1913.
Barrel height 12.2 cm, maximum diameter 9.1 cm.
Mounted with a brass plaque engraved:
FROM THE TEAK OF 1`HMS "BIRMINGHAM".
The ship gained fame at DOGGER BANK and JUTLAND FAME.
Excellent condition, other than pencil marks under the lid. A rare item in this size.
