A superb quality, continental, late 19th / early 20th cent silver gilt overmantel mirror. The frame has a finely carved decorative surround. This mirror could easily be used and hung horizontally due to the carving being repeated on all four sides. The condition of the gilt carving shows very little signs of wear and is generally in excellent and all original condition, the mirror plates are divided into three sections and again are in excellent original condition. Sizes: 49”(125cms) wide, 23”(59cms) high, 2”(5cms) deep. Date circa 1900.
