Description

Antique Late Victorian Mahogany Roll Top Desk and dating from around 1890. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a polished mahogany top above a tambor front with turned oak and ebonised knob handles and brass lock escutcheon. This raises to reveal an assortment of pigeon holes to each side and it has its original faux brown leather skiver in very good condition. To each pedestal there is a pull out book slide above four drawers ( the right side has a double depth drawer). All of the drawers are oak lined with oak and ebonised turned knob handles. The pedestals are joined by a frieze drawer over the kneehole and it stands on splayed bracket feet. The top separates from the base for ease of transporting.

Measures 39" high x 26" deep x 48" wide and knee height 26" x desk height 31"

In very good condition with lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
