Description

This very early rare oak buffet dates from the Elizabethan era. The oak is a strong, well patinated colour. It has a central cupboard door in front, with panels to each side. The front is deeply carved and has castellated moulding beneath. The beautiful turned legs are also deeply carved, with cup and cover decoration.

The back of the cabinet has plain oak fielded panels with square rectangular legs. The shelf underneath shows good wear and the top of the piece is pegged. All joints are dowelled.
