Description

This vintage trench wristwatch is not in working order and requires repair. It has a sterling silver case, which is marked with London import marks and the date letter for 1916, together with the maker's mark AB. The watch is engraved on the back of the case with the initials DC and the date 11th Nov 1918 (Armistice Day). The watch itself has no maker's marks, but the movement is stamped 'Swiss made'. It retains a vintage leather strap that has some age but is probably not original. The watch was clearly a well-loved piece and has many jeweller's repair marks on the inside of the case.

Condition: Not in working order, and with some significant wear consistent with age and use. The glass and case have some surface scratching and there is a crack to the face of the watch. The case is tarnished and has some slight denting. The leather strap has some significant wear and some corrosion to the metal fixings.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
3.2cm diameter.
