Description

This antique china part tea set was made by Minton and dates from the first part of the twentieth century. Present are four cups, three saucers, six plates and two sandwich plates. All the pieces are impressed with the Minton mark, but only two of the cups have the Minton stamp. The set has lovely pink transfer-printed decoration with gilt rims and highlights.

Condition: Overall in fair-good condition with some wear and damage consistent with age. There is some wear to the gilt rims and some surface scratching in places. There is also some damage - two of the cups have hairline cracks (one with some chipping), some of the saucers have some heavier wear and discolouration, one of the plates is crazed and does not ring. There are also some manufacturing imperfections as might be expected.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
Cup - 6.5cm high, 10.5cm diameter of top
Saucer - 3.5cm high, 15.5cm diameter of top
Plate - 20cm diameter.
