Description

This lovely antique stool is of superb quality. It has what we believe to be a shaped walnut frame and is supported on four legs. It has a round needlepoint top which is later than the base, but still has some significant age. The stool retains a maker's label on the underneath for the well-known maker J. Kendall & Co and is numbered 30303. We would estimate it to date from around the 1830s.

Condition: Overall in good condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected. One of the legs has been broken and glued back on and has some cracking around the break. However there is no movement in the break and the stool is stable. The top has some fading and wear.

16cm high, 40cm diameter (to maximums).
