Description

This bound collection of maps date from the first half of the nineteenth century. All have some hand-colouring. The binding looks to be original with stiff marbled boards and a cloth spine. There are 15 maps present:
England I - V by Baldwin & Cradock 1830-1831
Scotland I - II by Baldwin & Cradock 1834
France I - III by Baldwin & Cradock 1830
The Netherlands by Baldwin & Cradock 1830
Spain I by Baldwin & Cradock 1831
North America by Baldwin & Cradock 1834
'Present Seat of War in the East' by Betts (undated, but hand-written date of 1839)
L'Algerie by Simonneau 1840.

Condition: Overall in fair-good condition with some wear consistent with age and use. The covers have some scuffing, wear and marking. Some of the maps (or perhaps the whole book) have been cut down in places and there are some old paper tape repairs. There are some pencilled marks and some significant pencil scribbling to the back of the first two maps. The pages have some discolouration and some scattered foxing. The map France III is torn along a crease.
