This lovely drop-leaf gateleg dining table is in the antique Jacobean style, but is a modern reproduction piece dating from the 1970s. The table was made by the well-known firm of Waring & Gillow. It is not marked, but we have the original Waring & Gillow purchase receipt and model photograph - we will include the original photograph and a copy of the receipt in the sale (the original receipt also includes the matching dining chairs so if you buy both items we will include the original receipt). We purchased them from the original owner.

The table has an oval top with a drop leaf at either side. The leaves are supported on a pull-out leg. The table has decorative turned legs terminating in small round feet. There is a drawer beneath the top at one side, which has a carved front - there is matching carved panel at the other side.

Condition Overall this handsome table is in good usuable condition with some light wear consistent with age and use. There is some light scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected, and the table is overall quite faded. There is some scraping to the top, which is worse to one of the drop leaves.

Overall - 74cm high, 52cm long (closed), 148.5cm long (open), 108.5cm wide (to maximums).
