Description

This vintage Colman's Mustard enamel sign dates from the first half of the twentieth century. It has blue lettering on a yellow background. There are six screw holes around the edge of the sign. There is a small number to the bottom of the front of the sign on the left-hand side, which looks to be '207' although some further numbers may have been obscured by rust. There is what looks to be a faint maker's stamp on the right-hand side, which begins Imperial although the rest of the lettering is obscured. We believe the sign to have been made by the Imperial Enamel Co. of Birmingham. The number '102' has been painted onto the back in large numbers.

Condition - Overall in good condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some discoloration and some rusting and chipping around the edges and around the screw holes. There is also some rusting to the back of the sign. The sign has some scratching and scuffing.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
61cm by 15cm.
