Description

This attractive oak sideboard is in the Georgian Gothic style, and although it appears to be made out of old wood in the old way, we believe it to be of early to mid twentieth-century construction. It is made from solid oak and is of lovely quality and nice small proportions. The sideboard has a planked top with three drawers beneath, the middle of which is a smaller drawer. Beneath this is a two-door cupboard. The piece is supported on short legs and the drawers and doors retain brass handles.

Condition:

The approx. measurements are as follows:Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall a little faded. There is some shrinkage cracking to the top and some minor wood loss to the front edge at the right-hand side. There are some signs of old woodworm - this is not active, but has been retreated as a precaution.
Overall - 87cm high, 129cm wide, 47cm deep (to maximums).
