Description

This attractive small vase features a winged cherub with a pot on his back covered with flowers. The pot has an opening at the top to hold flowers. It is nicely made, painted and glazed. There are no makers marks except for '12' painted on the base. There is also the number '3694' moulded into the base just behind the tree trunk. We believe the item to be of European, probably Germany, in origin and to date from the late nineteenth century.

Condition: Overall in good condition with some wear consistent with age and use. It is overall a little grubby and dusty. There are some manufacturing imperfections as might be expected. There is some chipping to the petals of the white flowers that cover the pot on the cherub's back.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
14cm high.
